Piekkola log house is build in 2011 and is well located, only few minutes walk from the Pyhä Ski Resort and its variable services. Even though services and activities are near Piekkola you are able to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and beautiful swamp and especially in fall you are able to enjoy the magnificent display of colors in the trees directly from the living room windows. During morning coffee you can admire the view to the new FIS race slope and breathtaking view to the mountain.

Wether it is winter or summer this well equipped and cozy, yet spacious free time house offers comfortable getaway to your entire family or group of friends. Best of all you can take your pets with you and share the precious memories with them too. After days refreshing activities you can relax in the warmth of the sauna and continue remembering the best moments of the day by the fireplace in spacious living room. Three separate bedrooms offers good night sleep for up to six persons and if needed two extra persons can sleep in the living room.

Pyhätunturi surroundings offer excellent opportunity to down hill and cross country skiing, hiking or just enjoying the views and the wilderness in quiet. Downhill skiing

Pyhä off-pists and Polar slope are often rated to be best in Finland. FIS race slope was finished in 2011 and International Ski Federation states it to be biggest in Finland with maximum steepness of 55 % and average steepness of 33-34 % (Yle 1.11.2010) so it should offer plenty of challenge. Cross-Country skiing

There are over 150 kilometers of ski trails in Pyhä-Luosto. Part of the tracks goes trough the Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The trails of Luosto and Pyhä are connected to each other. A day trip from one hill to another is a nice experience for the seasoned skier. 14 kilometrs of lighted ski trails.For most parts the managed trails are suitable for both traditional and skating-style skiing. At the "arms" of the tracks, there are nice cafés and other resting places at suitable intervals. A small rest and suitable snack add a nice relaxed touch to the experience. Trackmap

Hiking

Everybody is able to find suitable hiking route in Pyhä area, nearest routes are Isokuru, Pyhäkaste fall and Aittakuru. If you wish to hike further there is always possibility to go as far as Luosto.
